Neneh Cherry – I’ve Got You Under My Skin (utimono [FE] remix)

Neneh Cherry’s rendition of “I’ve Got You Under My Skin,” released in 1990 on the Red Hot + Blue album, is a modernized take on Cole Porter’s classic.

Her version, blending hip-hop and R&B elements, brought a fresh vibe to the timeless song. Cherry’s interpretation captured the essence of intense infatuation and possessiveness, symbolizing a deep entanglement in love.

The track was part of a compilation aimed at supporting the fight against HIV/AIDS, adding a layer of significance to its haunting, passionate portrayal of affection and desire.

I hope you’ll enjoy my trip-hop-metal rendition, as much as I enjoyed creating it.
